Morality: Is it only for Christians?
Can a person be moral even though he/she does not believe in God? Well, there are a lot of people around me that don’t believe in God. They even deny the fact that Jesus existed in this world. Thinking of these people around me, they aren’t that bad, actually. So, I disagree with this topic saying that you cannot be a moral person unless you have faith.
Talking about this more specifically, I have a friend named Carl. He is a friend that I enjoy talking to. He and I talk about various subjects like politics, economics, entertainers, and so on. Even though he tries to understand every aspect that I have, whenever I talk about God in front of him, he always runs away from me and does not listen to me. He thinks that God does not exist and everything is made by science. Science is his God, I think. Anyway, he always says that I believe nonsense. He isn’t a believer as you can see. However, he is a moral person that I can guarantee.
He helps people who are begging for pennies by giving his bus fee to them, helps elders lift their burdens, helps kids around the world who wait for donations, and so on. To be honest, he is more kind than me. As a Christian, I try to be kind to others. However, it’s impossible to catch up Carl. By looking at him all the time, I can say that even though a person does not believe in God can be a moral person indeed.
By becoming a Christian, you can become moral. But even though you don’t believe in God, you can be moral as well. Morality is something that couldn’t be judged by rather a person is a Christian or not.
